23th July 2026
Customer Notice
Dear Valued Client
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
To ensure we can continue providing timely funding services to all our clients, we will be implementing an update to our funding terms, effective tomorrow the 24th of July, 2026.
Policy Update
Funding that remains outstanding for more than 30 days will begin attracting late fees, regardless of whether the container has already been returned.
We appreciate that, in some cases, delays in the refund of container deposits are caused by shipping lines. However, as the funded amount remains outstanding until the deposit is recovered, late fees will continue to accrue even where the delay is outside the client's control.
If you wish to avoid further late fees while awaiting the shipping line's refund, you may refund the funded deposit to CDF. Once the shipping line remits the deposit to us, CDF will promptly reimburse you for the same amount.
Existing Outstanding Funding
Clients with funding that is already outstanding as of today, 23th of July 2026, will not be charged late fees under this new policy.
However, no additional funding will be approved until the existing outstanding amount has been settled, either:
- through the shipping line refunding the deposit to CDF; or
- by the client refunding the funded amount to CDF, after which any subsequent refund received from the shipping line will be remitted back to the client.
This transition arrangement allows existing transactions to continue unaffected while ensuring future funding remains sustainable for all clients.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. These changes will enable CDF to maintain a healthy funding pool and continue providing reliable financing services.
Should you have any questions, our team will be happy to assist.
Thank you for choosing CDF.
